On one hand it is a typical Monday morning as I struggled to get moving, took far too long to clean up after breakfast, and get the lunches made. On the other hand, looking at events from the weekend, it is definately a different day.
There are continuing conflicts in the world, too many shootings in this country (and one is too many), and a very toxic political climate. Now there has been an assasination attempt.
It does not matter what your political viewpoint is, we all need to strive for peace in our day. Jesus of Nazareth said “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Whether you are a Christian or not, I think these words can be inspirational. We all need to be ambassadors of peace.
As you go through this week, seek peace, breathe peace and be peace for others.
